On December 13^th, 2016 The Committee on Science and High School of Saint-Petersburg conducted XXI Assembly of Young Scientists aimed at developing and encouraging scientific activities among the youth.

The Assembly was attended by Governor of Saint-Petersburg Georgy Poltavchenko, Deputy of the Legislative Assembly of Saint-Petersburg Vyacheslav Makarov.

The Assembly also comprised a ceremony of award of Saint-Petersburg’s under- and postgraduates and scholarship winners.

Congratulating winners Mr. Poltavchenko said: «The Assembly is a review of young talents. Today we pay respects to young people who dedicated themselves to science and innovation. I am pleased to see that the number of young scientists willing to participate in the competition increases every year. We help them to engage themselves with their favourite work. It is very important for us. The city will continue with helping the young scientists.»

• Mr. Ilya Simonchik (undergraduate);
• Ms. Anastasiya Fedchenko (undergraduate);
• Ms. Viktoriya Shayakhmetova (undergraduate);
• Ms. Evgeniya Klyueva (undergraduate);
• Ms. Yulia Pasynkova (undergraduate);
• Mr. Daniil Popov (undergraduate);
• Mr. Alexander Pronichev (undergraduate);
• Mr. Alexander Prudnikov (undergraduate);
• Mr. Denis Sokolov (undergraduate);
• Ms. Svetlana Maslova (undergraduate, Medical College);
• Ms. Anastasiya Kuznetsova (undergraduate, Saint-Petersburg Railway College).

The ceremony was also attended by Rector of PGUPS who congratulated the winners.
