On April 7^th, 2017 Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation visited Emperor Alexander I St. Petersburg State Transport University.

The Rector of the university Mr. Alexander Panychev informed the Minister about the students who had been wounded in the metro bombing on April 3^d. The Minister expressed his condolences on Dilbara Alieva, the student of PGUPS, and Larisa Shchyokina, a free-lance employee of the university’s publishers, who had died in the terror attack, and lay flowers at the obituary notice in the hall of the university.

On the same day, the Minister and the Rector visited The Saint Petersburg Research Institute of Emergency Medicine n.a. I.I. Dzhanelidze where the wounded students are being treated. The visitors met with Director of the Institute Dr. Valery Parfenov and Chief of Medicine Dr. Anton Povzun. The doctors said that there were three students of the university in the hospital at the moment. Other three students had been moved to the Military Medical Academy. The state of the patients is satisfactory.

After the talks, the visitors came to see students M. Semyonov, A. Vlasov and U. Tursunov and talked to each of them. The students told the visitors that the treatment went good and they felt better. The students were given gifts and were wished a speedy recovery and success in their studies.
