On May 14^th, 2017 the delegation of PGUPS headed by Rector Mr. Alexander Panychev began their visit to Uzbekistan.

On the first day of the visit the delegation met with Tashkent Railway Engineering Institute representatives (TREI). PGUPS has had a long and productive cooperation with TREI on training and qualification upgrade programmes for Uzbekistan Railways officers and professors for TREI since 2004.

During the meeting, the parties discussed new vectors of cooperation and possibilities of realisation of joint railway developments, expanding training programmes, internships in PGUPS.

According to Rector of TREI Mr. Marufdjan Rasulov, the Institute is facing today challenges of expanding a sphere of training specialists for Uzbekistan Railways as part of its development programme, scientific constituent of infrastructural projects, implementation of state-of-the-art technologies and localisation of production.

Later, a new Agreement of Cooperation was signed, and the delegation went on an excursion in the Institute, met with the graduates of PGUPS many of which are occupying managing positions in TREI.
