On February 9^th, 2017 Vologda Railway Transport College, an affiliate of PGUPS, held IV Interregional scientific student conference «The Future of Railway Transport» devoted to 115^th anniversary of the college.

The conference was attended by 12 educational organisations, where 8 of them presented their institutions using posters. Along with the Russian students there were also present students from the Republic of Belarus.

The subjects of the conference were diverse: the history of the railway transport, state-of-the-art technologies in railway transport, railway transportation economics, safety and service on railway transport, modern railway information technologies.

All speakers showed good public speech skills. Most of the speeches have practical meaning and were composed according to the requests of enterprises and organisations of the Northern Railway (The Severnaya Railway). The materials given in the conference will later be used while giving lectures to students. The participants were presented with souvenirs and awarded with diplomas. All participants who used posters for presenting their institution will also be given certificates and diplomas.
