«TEBTRANS — 2016» Proceeds as Young Scientists Join in

On October 28th, 2016, the 3d day of 5th International Anniversary Scientific Conference «Transport Technospherical and Ecological Safety» (TEBTRANS-2016) PGUPS held another round-table discussion — «Organisation of Researches for Young Scientists, Postgraduates, and Students of Related Educational Institutions in the Field of Technospherical Safety».

As it was said by Vice-Rector for Research, Professor Titova who opened the discussion, The Organisational Committee had decided to organise a separate round-table discussion in order to evaluate the results of the work of young scientists and postgraduates, those who in the foreseeable future will tackle a lot of transport branch problems, including those of ecology and technospherical safety.

Professor Titova pointed out that round-table talks coincided with The Department of Doctoral and Postgraduate Programmes’ 90th Anniversary.

«We are proud to study and work in Russia’s first transport engineering university, value and cherish its traditions. Our graduates and professors committed themselves in building Saint-Petersburg».

According to the words of Professor Titova, in the year of its organisation (2007) the Conference had an interuniversity status. Since 2008 it became not only an international conference but had been held in cooperation with one of the biggest companies both in Russia and abroad — JSC «Russian Railways (RZD)». This indicates that ecology and security issues have been becoming more and more crucial.

The reports which were read during the round-table talks were devoted to transport complex problems: «Ecological Advantages of Cable-Stayed Bridges», «Consideration of Ecological Problems when Choosing City Public Transport», «Consideration of Ecological Requirements in Projects of Transport Hubs’ Developments» and others. The moderator of the talks was Dean of The Faculty of Part-Time Studies, Professor Elena Titova.
