Entrance procedure

Admission of foreign citizens to Petersburg State Transport University is carried out in accordance with the Regulations of the foreign citizens admission and training to be approved by Rector of the University.

Submitting the documents (in Russian) for the admission to the University, foreign students should have available the documents that follow:

  • the original, officially approved document of education (or a copy thereof attested in accordance with the established procedure) or the original of the foreign state document of education recognized in the Russian Federation as equivalent to the officially approved document of education (or a copy thereof attested in accordance with the established procedure), with a certificate of identification of its equivalence, in case of need;
  • a translation into Russian of the foreign country’s document of education and attachments thereto (if the latter are stipulated by the law of the State in which the document of education was issued) attested in accordance with the established procedure;
  • a copy of the document identifying the foreign citizen in the Russian Federation as stipulated by the art.10 of the Federal law dated July 25, 2002, no. 115-F3, “On the legal position of foreign citizens in the Russian Federation”;
  • copies of documents or any other evidences confirming that a countryman living abroad belongs to the groups stipulated by the article 4 of the Federal law dated May 24, 1999, no. 99-F3;
  • a copy of the visa to enter the Russian Federation if a foreign citizen arrived to the Russian Federation on an entry visa;
  • a required number of photos.

   All translations into Russian should be done to the first name and family name specified in the entry visa.

   Foreign citizens entering training for a Bachelor’s degree or a Specialist’s degree, should submit an officially approved document of secondary (complete) general education or secondary vocational education or a foreign country’s document of education equivalent in the Russian Federation to the officially approved document of secondary (complete) general education or secondary vocational education.

   For the training under the master’s degree program, are admitted foreign citizens having got a Bachelor’s degree diploma or a diploma of Specialist with a higher vocational education or a specialist’s diploma or a foreign country’s document of education recognized in the Russian Federation as equivalent to the Bachelor’s degree diploma, or that of a Specialist with a higher vocational education diploma, or a Specialist’s diploma.
