The annual ceremony of honoring the best graduates of St. Petersburg universities took place on September 18 in the Atrium of the Commandant’s House of the Peter and Paul Fortress.

The event, organized by the Committee on Youth Policy and Interaction with Public Organizations, was attended by Vice Governor of St. Petersburg Vladimir Knyaginin, Chairperson of the Committee Yulia Ablets, the City Government representatives, rectors of universities, heads of student councils, heads of educational work departments, the best graduates, their parents, invited guests. From PGUPS, the ceremony was attended by acting Vice-rector for pedagogical work and industrial relations I.A. Terekhin.

Annually, out of tens of thousands of St. Petersburg graduates, only 60 are awarded the title of the best, distinguished by their academic success and scientific and cultural achievements.

One of the best St. Petersburg graduates 2020 was Igor Kron, the Best Graduate of PGUPS and the Betancourt Award laureate.

The University congratulates Igor on this excellent achievement and wishes him further success!
