A student of the Faculty «Railway Operation and Logistics» Veronika Gorohova became the world champion in synchronized figure skating (within the team «Paradise» (St. Petersburg). Championship was held in Budapest (Hungary).

16 figure-skaters from the team «Paradise» used the music of «Carmen» by Georges Bizet. Judges put them 212.69 points for the short and free program. The second place was taken by Finland and the third — by the USA. Russians have such success for the first time in history.

The team «Paradise» was founded in 1994. For 15 years, its representatives have become champions of Russia. In 2015, the team won the bronze at the world championship.
