The PGUPS and «Transoil» Developed a Program of Additional Training

16.05.2016
Education Partnership

On May 13, 2016 Director General of Transport-Logistics Group «Transoil» Vladimir M. Sokolov and Vice-Rector of the PGUPS for Pedagogical Work and Industry Relations Petr K. Rybin held the meeting with students of our University, who were chosen to participate in the program of additional training developed by the PGUPS and the company. Start of the program is planned for beginning of the new 2016/2017 academic year.

Additional educational program «The Work of the Operator Company in a Market Environment» is aimed at advanced study of various aspects of working with oil cargo and tankers. The program includes new discipline specially developed for study of modern methods of organizing and providing transportation of liquid cargo. The practical training in the structural divisions of the company is planned. After successful completion of the program students will be given the opportunity of employment in «Transoil».

Since December 2015 the specialists of «Transoil» were selecting students of our University. Both the formal attributes (progress in studies, recommendations of the faculty, scientific, social and public activities) and results of interviews with the heads of departments of the company were taken into account. 15 finalists, students of the faculties «Railway Operation and Logistics», «Transport Systems and Power Engineering» and «Economics and Management», were selected of 118 people who applied for training.

The project is implemented on a contract basis within the framework of cooperation agreement between the PGUPS and «Transoil». «Attracting talented young professionals and development of human resources are the main components of sustainable growth of any company», — said Director General of «Transoil» Vladimir M. Sokolov, emphasizing the importance of cooperation between educational institutions and private companies — future employers for students.

«Working with one of the leaders of the market — Transport-Logistics Group «Transoil» allows us to more precisely shape the program of additional training and to take into account standards of the market and the company. This, of course, not only improves the quality of education, but also helps our students to gain additional skills and confidence in guaranteed employment», — said Vice-rector for Pedagogical Work and Industry Relations Petr K. Rybin.
