MTST’19 conference

On May 23 2019, in the Emperor Alexander I St. Petersburg State Transport University begins the VII International Scientific and Practical Conference «Magnitolevitational transport systems and technologies» (MTST’19).

The International council on magnetic levitation and the scientific educational engineering cluster «Russian Maglev» supports the event.

Conference participants were the representatives of Saint Petersburg Administration, international experts in magnitolevitational transport technologies, heads and specialists of OJSC «Russian Railways», specialized educational, scientific and industrial organizations.

170 representatives, including from Germany, China and Switzerland, attended the first day of the conference.

At the opening ceremony, Chairman of the Committee of Science and Higher Education of the Government of St. Petersburg, Maksimov A.S. read the greeting from the Acting Governor of St. Petersburg Beglov A.D. The first Vice-rector — vice-rector for Research Titova T.S., Deputy Director General — head of OJSC «Russian railways» Valinskiy O.S., Deputy Director of Sciences of Efremov Research Institute of Electrophysical Apparatus Kuchinsky V.G., President of International council of magnetic levitation, Doctor Honoris Causa Klyushpis Y. addressed the conference participants.

During the plenary session presented reports were in line with modern trends in the transport industry, such as the digitization of transport, the use of innovative technologies and materials, the construction of a high-speed highway Moscow — St. Petersburg. The relevance of discussed topics aroused a vivid interest of the audience and became decisive in the work of the thematic sections, where issues of economics and management, scientific and practical developments in the field of magneto-volatile technologies were raised.

At the end of the plenary session, the thematic sections began their work.

MTST’19 participants noted a growing interest not only from industry experts, but also from government and business representatives, which confirms the relevance of the work of «Russian Maglev» cluster on the development and promotion of magnitolevitational transport technology.
