Institute for Advanced Training and Retraining of Executives and Specialists (IATR, ИПКП) organizes retraining, advanced training courses, seminars and internships in various fields such as transport, construction, industry, housing and communal services, and others. Executives and specialists can undertake courses in both industry-specific and general areas such as personnel management, finance and economics, etc.

The Institute is characterized by the profound use of the PGUPS departments’ scientific potential, the involvement of leading specialists of railway, construction, scientific organizations and other enterprises. Currently it consists of seven Centers with more than 5,000 people studying more than 200 programs.

The Institute works together with the branches of JSC «Russian Railways» and other transport and construction organizations.

The courses last from one to six weeks and are conducted mainly face to face, although at the request of customers, off-campus learning can also be organized.

After completing the training, students are awarded with diplomas or certificates.

Within 40 years, about 190 thousand students have improved their qualifications and underwent retraining.

Students of the Institute are provided with rooms in comfortable hostels for the duration of their study.
