On March 11, 2024 the delegation of the General Consulate of the Republic of Uzbekistan in St. Petersburg headed by Consul General Makhmudov A.A. visited St. Petersburg State Transport University of the Emperor Alexander I.

Rector of PGUPS Valinsky O.S., First Vice-Rector — Vice-Rector for Scientific work Titova T.S. and the Head of the International Relations Department Strelchenya Y.V. communicated with the guests.

Cooperation with the Republic of Uzbekistan has been actively developing for many years and has deep roots. Traditionally, our university is a leader in the number of students from the Republic of Uzbekistan. Currently, more than one thousand three hundred citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan are studying at PGUPS.

The General Consul highly appreciated the quality of training of specialists at the University. He noted that today in the cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan the first place is given to the issues of closer cooperation in the field of training personnel for Uzbekistan’s Railroads, as well as in the field of construction and logistics.
