Physics is one of the most important subjects in a technical university. It provides fundamental training for a modern engineer.

The department of Physics provides an extensive training for students of all PGUPS faculties in the field of physics and thereby creates the necessary knowledge foundation for mastering any chosen specialty. This is achieved due to the fact that the physics course includes sections that are primarily necessary to major in the most promising areas of industry and transport.

During their study, students master the methods of theoretical and experimental research, the methodology of a systematic approach in planning, design, development of new technologies.
