The department conducts a lot of successful research projects. Over the past years, more than 100 contracts have been fulfilled for a total amount of over 100 million rubles. The list of customers includes the Construction Committee of the St. Petersburg Administration, JSC Russian Railways, St. Petersburg Metro, various construction companies. The studies were carried out at various sites, including unique buildings — architectural landmarks of St. Petersburg.

Scientific research covers the following areas:

  • geotechnical modeling of the joint work of the system: base, foundation, above-ground structure;
  • engineering, geological, hydrological surveys;
  • design of foundations of buildings and structures;
  • calculation of foundations considering the nonlinear work of soils;
  • development of geotechnical regulations for the preservation of surrounding buildings;
  • construction of underground structures considering geotechnical risk factors.
