On May 20, conference TRANSOILCOLD 2019 has begun in the Emperor Alexander I St. Petersburg State Transport University.

On the first day of the conference, a symposium of young geotechnicians commemorating Professor V.G. Kondratieff took a place. The participants were young scientists from PGUPS, Lomonosov Moscow State University, Kuban State Technological University (Krasnodar), M.K. Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University (Yakutsk), Tyumen Industrial University, Far Eastern State University of Communications (Khabarovsk), Cryopedology Institute the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Test Center for Materials and Structures of the October Railway (branch of JSC «Russian Railways») and many other organizations.

Geotechnicians from Germany, Kazakhstan, China, Pakistan and Finland made presentations at the seminar.
