On September 26, 2023, the International Conference «Engineering Entrepreneurship: Innovative Solutions in Transport and Logistics» was held within the framework of the development program «Priority 2030».

The purpose of the Conference was to share technologies and opportunities in the field of engineering innovative solutions and startup projects developed by the PGUPS students.

Participants discussed issues of government and industry support for startup projects: infrastructure, communications, investments.

The conference platform was organized at the Department of Transport Economics, the project office of the School of Engineering Entrepreneurship with the participation of the Departments of the Electrical Communication, Operations Management and the Department of Railway Car Facilities.

The conference was attended by:

• Head of the project office «School of Engineering Entrepreneurship» Doctor of Economics, Professor, Head of the Department Economics of Transport Natalia A. Zhuravleva;
• Deputy Director of St. Petersburg State Budgetary Institution Center for Development and Support of Entrepreneurship Yanina K. Rychkova;
• As well as managers and specialists of JSC «Russian Railways», university professors and students.

Following presentations of startup projects were presented and discussed at the conference:

• «Project of modernization of the process of control of the braking system in order to localize the places of malfunction on the railway rolling stock» Zaigrina Ekaterina Sergeevna., Frolova Olga Aleksandrovna, Khorev Dmitry Sergeevich (Department of the Electrical Communication);
• «Creation of a new type of transmission» by Artem Sergeevich Ivashchenko (Department of the Operations Management);
• «Creating a new space in the university» Kabanchenko Vitaly Alekseevich Kabanchenko, Sizyuk Alexander (Department of the Operations Management);
• «Affordable snack» Minakov Nikita Sergeevich, Glazunov Anton Yurievich, Lomovtseva Ekaterina Dmitrievna, Litovchuk Nikita Valerievich Department of Railway Car Facilities).

As a result of the conference, the concept of further participation of the PGUPS students in corporate accelerator programs, creation of promising product/project solutions and their implementation in the JSC «Russian Railways» network was presented.
