Students Day on January 25
On January 25, Russia traditionally celebrates the Students day, also known as Tatyana’s Day.
Historically, it dates back to 1755, when Empress Elizabeth of Russia signed a decree «On the establishment of Moscow University». By the middle of the 19th century, Tatyana’s Day became a common holiday for all students.
Tatyana’s Day became an official holiday after the Decree of the President of Russia «On the Day of Russian Students» was signed in 2005.
The University administration congratulates all PGUPS students on this wonderful day and wishes them academic success, happiness and good health!
