On March 10-13 in Amsterdam (Netherlands) at the open ice rink named after Jaap Eden held the World University Speed Skating Championships. Over 70 athletes from 16 countries participated in the competition.

In the team pursuit the winner was Sergey Loginov (the Faculty of Transport Systems and Power Engineering, group № ПС-806) together with Alexander Podolsky (Moscow Region State Institute of Humanities and Social Studies, Kolomna) and Daniil Genshel Ural State University of Physical Culture, Chelyabinsk).

The team from Poland was on the second place and the team from Netherlands — on the third.

The Rectorate of the University cordially congratulates Sergey Loginov and wishes him further success in sports and studies.
