Yunnan Jiaotong College was established in 1952 and during its six decades’ development has been developing as an institution which focuses on developing students’ practical vocational skills. The College occupies the area of more than 58 hectares with 267 centres and laboratories and three campuses on it: Chengong, Puji and Wujinqiao. Some of the laboratories which are engaged in car industry were organised in cooperation with world famous companies such as Ford or Mercedes-Benz.

Yunnan Jiaotong College internationally cooperates and exchanges its staff and students with foreign educational institutions, organises internships and practical trainings in different companies such as Cummins Learning Center (The USA), Toyota (Japan). YJTC has close ties with universities in India, Canada, Malaysia, Mexico, The USA, Thailand, and South Korea, actively participates in infrastructural projects in Cambodia, Laos, and Thailand.

During the talks the heads of PGUPS and YJTC discussed the possibility of establishing joint scientific centres for high-speed lines design and for scientific developments in the field of construction materials.
