On September 24, 2023 a delegation from the Shandong Polytechnic (PRC) visited PGUPS. The delegation was headed by the First Vice-Rector Mr. Wang Shaojun.

Rector O.S. Valinsky, First Vice-Rector — Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs P.K. Rybin and Head of International Relations Department Y.V. Strelchenya discussed current areas of cooperation.

O.S. Valinsky noted the high pace of the development and the positive dynamics of cooperation between Russia and the PRC, a vivid example of which is the existing cooperation between PGUPS and the leading transportation universities of China.

As a result of the negotiations, the parties agreed to sign a cooperation agreement, considering the possibility of launching double degree programs and organizing exchange programs for students and teachers of Shandong Polytechnic on the basis of PGUPS.

The delegation was given a tour around the University. Guests visited the Transportation Management Training Center, the Laboratory of Electric Traction named after Professor V.A. Shevalin, as well as electric train control simulator «Lastochka».
