On February 1^st, 2018, as part of the celebration activities devoted to 260^th anniversary of Agustin Betancourt, Emperor Alexander I St. Petersburg State Transport University saw the ceremony of signing of two agreements on cooperation.

The Agreement on Cooperation between the university and the Partnership «Uralskaya Skorostnaya Magistral» (Ural High-Speed Mainline) was signed by Rector Alexander Panychev and Director Sergey Brevnov respectively.

The Agreement on Cooperation between the university and JSC «Ust-Luga Port Transport Company» was signed by Rector Alexander Panychev and General Director Igor Evstafyev respectively.

After the signing, Rector Alexander Panychev pointed out that the university would put all efforts to employ most advanced technologies for improvement of the quality of the HSR Chelyabinsk-Yekaterinburg project. When the line is completed, the students of the university will get a modern facility to apply their expertise.

Director of Ural High-Speed Mainline said: «We are grateful to the first transport engineering university of Russia for its participation in preparation of construction of the Ural High-Speed Mainline. Rich experience and deserved reputation of the scientific community of the university enable us to establish a new type of transport infrastructure between Chelyabinsk and Yekaterinburg on the highest level».
