On July 6, 2022, a graduation ceremony was held at the St. Isaac’s Cathedral with the presentation of diplomas with honors.

On March 15^th PGUPS saw the final stage of the History Olympiad for pupils «Heritage of Betancourt» which was jointly organised by Emperor Alexander I St. Petersburg State Transport University and The State Memorial Museum «Saint Isaac’s Cathedral».

On December 9^th, 2016 Emperor Alexander I St. Petersburg State Transport University and The State Memorial Museum «Saint Isaac’s Cathedral» jointly conducted the International Scientific Conference «Heritage of Agustin de Betancourt».

On December 9^th, 2016 Emperor Alexander I St. Petersburg State Transport University and The State Memorial Museum «Saint Isaac’s Cathedral» will jointly conduct the International Scientific Conference «Heritage of Agustin de Betancourt». The Conference will be held under the aegis of Russia’s Minister of Transport Maksim Sokolov and Governor of Saint-Petersburg Georgy Poltavchenko.

The winners of the International Creativity Competition «Heritage of Betancourt» awarded diplomas at École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées (Paris, France). The competition was organized by Emperor Alexander I St. Petersburg State Transport University (PGUPS) in the academic year 2015. The winners were congratulated by Director of École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées Armel de La Bourdonnaye.

A group of 80 transport engineers and students from Spain stayed in St. Petersburg from July 14 to July 20, 2016. The PGUPS welcomed representatives of its partner organizations: Colegio de Ingenieros de Caminos, Canales y Puertos and Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.

On June 29, 2016, the State Museum «St. Isaac’s Cathedral» hosted the 202^nd solemn graduation ceremony of Emperor Alexander I St. Petersburg State Transport University.

Universidad Polytécnica de Madrid (UPM) — the partner of Emperor Alexander I St.Petersburg State Transport University — has organized a contest of students’ creative works dedicated to the biography and engineering legacy of Agustin de Betancourt. Students of EscuelaTécnica Superior de Ingenieros de Caminos, Canales y Puertos, which is a part of UPM, took part in the Contest.

On April 26, 2016 the round table «Scientific and Engineering Societies of St. Petersburg: History and Modernity. The 150th Anniversary of the Russian Technical Society» took place at St. Petersburg Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The round table was held under the auspices of the Scientific-Educational Project «Heritage of Betancourt».

On April 18-25, 2016 our University hosted the Festival «Week of Science — 2016». Its main event was the 76th All-Russia Scientific-Technical Conference of Students, Graduate Students and Young Scientists «Transport: Problems, Ideas and Perspectives». This year the conference included 9 sections, more than 2,500 people from the PGUPS and other Russian transport universities took part in it.
